UBC professors receive 2014 LifeSciences British Columbia Awards

Two UBC professors have received the 2014 LifeSciences British Columbia Awards. These awards are presented annually to recognize individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the development of B.C.’s life sciences industry.

• Genome British Columbia Award for Scientific Excellence: Prof. Elizabeth M. Simpson, Department of Medical Genetics and senior scientist of Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics, Child and Family Research Institute.
• Dr. Don Rix Award for Lifetime Achievement: Prof. Robert C. Brunham, Department of Medicine and head of Vaccine Research Laboratory.
