National open data and ‘appathon’ competition announcement

Minister Tony Clement and hi-tech angel investor and CEO of XMG Studio Ray Sharma visit UBC to unveil the CODE national appathon to UBC students and the public. Canada’s first nationwide open data hackathon, the Canadian Open Data Experience is an intense 48-hour coding sprint where innovators from coast to coast compete to build useful and usable apps utilizing federal government data. The announced will be followed by a question and answer period for students and members of the audience.
