Over 50 per cent of commonly prescribed drugs do not work on the people they are prescribed for, and can cause them harm due to genetic differences. Personalized medicine allows early detection of disease leading to more effective treatment. Personalized medicine empowers the individual by providing data they can use to prevent disease.
