The Intellectual Property Issues in Cultural Heritage (IPinCH) project has been awarded the first Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Partnership Award with $50,000 in funding.
IPinCH promotes a model of collaborative research that empowers and protects indigenous communities while enriching scholarly inquiry. The IPinCH project is based in Simon Fraser University and includes UBC members Susan Rowley, Jennifer Kramer and Solen Roth from the Dept. of Anthropology, Robert Paterson from Faculty of Law, and MA and PhD students Jordan Wilson, Mique’l Icesis Dangeli, Adam Solomonian, Gloria Bell and Marina La Salle.
