Interdisciplinary doctoral trainee Bindy Kang is a 2013 recipient of the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. With support from supervisor Nursing Prof. Colleen Varcoe, Kang aims to understand how a South Asian-ancestry community considers, seeks, accesses, values and utilizes cardiovascular disease (CVD) healthcare, and subsequently what factors shape their CVD healthcare access and uptake.
