Public lecture examines health worker migration

Dr. Geertje Boschma and Dr. Margery Hawkins of the School of Nursing will present “History, geography and ethics of health worker migration in Canada” on October 9. They will explore health worker migration issues, focusing on the experiences of Philippine-registered nurses who have migrated to Canada.

The event is part of the ongoing Health Information Series in the Lower Mainland presented by the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre and Woodward Library. It is hosted by the Burnaby Public Library’s Tommy Douglas Branch Library in collaboration with the Multicultural Helping House.
