Alumni Hamid Abdollahi (M.Eng’08, P.Eng) and Dan Eisenhardt (MBA ’06) have been named 2013 Ernest C. Manning Innovation Award winners for their “Heads-Up Display.” They will receive a $10,000 prize at the Manning award ceremony on October 16 in Calgary.
The technology is used in ski/skydiving goggles which display the athlete’s speed, altitude, distance covered, heart rate and location on an LCD screen. It is marketed by Recon Instruments, a company founded by Abdollahi and Eisenhardt. Click here for more information.
