The executive of Population Data B.C. is calling for a more sophisticated use of health data, but others argue it could threaten privacy protection.
According to Dr. Kendall Ho, director of UBC’s eHealth strategy office, privacy breaches can result in someone assuming another person’s identity to obtain free health services or prescription drugs.
