The annual move-in day is an exciting and emotional event on campus as 3,200 first-year students leave home and begin their university experience. A team of 600 student volunteers and 170 student staff greet students and their families, direct students to their residence, unload cars, carry boxes, and answer a plethora of questions.

UBC houses more students on campus than any other university in Canada. It provides more than 10,000 spaces overall on its Vancouver campus.
