UBC’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre is ready to welcome Canada and Spain’s top tennis stars for the Davis Cup. The facility, which boasts three ice rinks and was a hockey and sledge hockey venue during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has been transformed into a world-class tennis venue. The Davis Cup first-round tie between Canada and Spain begins Feb. 1, 2013.
