UBC Engineering graduate Mohammed Alaqquad (CHBE ‘11) has been awarded the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering Best Paper Award for the manuscript “The Permeability of Wood-Chip Beds: The Effect of Compressibility, Can J Chem Eng 2012, 90, 1278-1288.” Professors D.M. Martinez and C.P.J. Bennington (posthumous) are authors on the manuscript and co-supervised Alaqquad. The award certificate will be presented during the awards banquet at the 63rd Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference in Fredericton in October 2013. For more information, click here.
