Pharmacists provide additional line of defense for detecting knee osteoarthritis

A team of Canadian researchers have determined that community-based pharmacists could provide an added resource in identifying knee osteoarthritis (OA). Led by Dr. Carlo Marra, director with the Collaboration for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) and professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences UBC, the study represents the first evidence supporting a collaborative approach to managing knee OA.
