Pharmaceutical Prof. Larry Lynd and colleagues have received a five-year $1,466,018 grant through Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)’s Emerging Team: Rare Diseases – Health Services Program. Lynd’s team will address the need to create funding policies for the developmentand subsidy of drugs to treat rare diseases. A formal announcement was made by the Harper Government on the support of rare disease research.
