Media are invited to attend the unveiling of the renovated West and South Wings of the Biological Sciences Complex at the University of British Columbia. The $61.8-million renewal project supported the creation of new working and learning environments and added a number of new sustainability features to the building.
A media tour will highlight these green features, including a solar lighting system invented by UBC Physics Professor Lorne Whitehead that collects sunlight and channels it to three labs to provide lighting.
