AAAS recognizes UBC plant researchers

UBC researchers Joerg Bohlmann and Carl Douglas have been elected as fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Bohlmann is cited for distinguished contributions in the field of plant biology, particularly for investigations into the genomics and biochemistry of plant defence against insects. Douglas is recognized for his research into plant cell wall biosynthesis, forestry tree genomics, and development of Populus as a model woody plant system.
