UBC student wins Mythbusters award

The latest instalment of the Mythbusters series published by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) is based on a submission by the 2010 Mythbusters Award recipient, UBC master’s candidate Tenneille Loo.  Her myth on adverse drug reactions is entitled: “Clinical trial studies and voluntary adverse drug reaction surveillance systems are effective methods in reducing adverse drug events in the Canadian population.”

The Mythbusters awards is designed to give students the opportunity to work with CHSRF staff to prepare a user-friendly summary of the research evidence behind some of today’s major debates in Canadian health services management and policy.
