Nancy Olewiler, professor at the Dept. of Economics and director of the Public Policy Program in the Faculty of Arts at Simon Fraser University and John Robinson, professor at UBC’s Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability and the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, will launch a new free Public Lecture Series presented by the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, in collaboration with SFU and UBC.
The first lecture in the series, Smart Energy on an Urban Scale, will explore smart or integrated energy systems. The presentations will shed light on how such systems offer sustainable solutions at the urban scale to reduce greenhouse gases and promote a more livable region.
