New integrated site focuses on student learning

A partnership between the Chapman Learning Commons and UBC’s Learning as Engagement and Participation (LEAP) has resulted in an integrated website dedicated to student learning.

The Learning Commons site www.learningcommons.ubc.ca connects students with learning technology support, writing help, academic tutoring, learning skills workshops and coaching programs. It also highlights the many learning resources available at the Chapman Learning Commons, UBC Library and the Alma Mater Society.

Student-driven content remains an important element of the new website, reflecting the key role that students play in helping shape the programs and services delivered through the Learning Commons.

The next phase of the website’s development will include programs and services available at other learning commons and centres on campus.

The Learning Commons website is a collaboration between the Chapman Learning Commons, the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (formerly OLT), Student Development and the Alma Mater Society.
