The Reena Virk Trials: An exhibition and a reading at the Learning Centre

The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre presents an exhibition of sketches by courtroom artist Heather Spears created during the Reena Virk murder trial.  It will be on display until June 25 in the Learning Centre Gallery, located on level two of the Learning Centre, adjacent to the Circulation Desk.

Spears will read from her new book of poems, Required Reading: A Witness in Words and Drawings to the Reena Virk Trials, 1998-2000. For more on her book, visit www.heatherspears.com/contents/required.htm.

Following the exhibition, Spears’s drawings will be added to the Heather Spears fonds at Rare Books and Special Collections at the Learning Centre.
