Prof. Alan Mackworth from the Dept. of Computer Science at UBC was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Association of Canada .
Mackworth has been a UBC faculty member since 1984 and currently holds a Canada Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence (since 2001). He is the founding director of the Laboratory for Computational Intelligence at UBC.
