UBC Computer Science Prof. Uri M. Ascher is one of 34 appointed Fellow by The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) in recognition of his key contributions to applied mathematics and computational science. Ascher will be honoured at the July 2010 SIAM Annual Meeting.
