UBC prof named first Fellow of International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade

The International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) has announced that Prof. Emeritus Anthony Scott is the first recipient of the IIFET Fellow Award established in 2009 to honour substantial, long-term, ongoing contributions to the advancement and development of economic theory and analysis in the areas of fisheries, aquaculture and/or seafood trade through research, teaching, and influence upon policy.
  
Scott will give a plenary address at the IIFET 2010 Montpellier conference on July 13-16 in Montpellier, France.
