Pollay Prize 2010 awarded for research on modern day consumer behavior

The winner of the 2010 Pollay Prize from the UBC Sauder School of Business is Ronald Paul Hill, Senior Associate Dean of Intellectual Strategy from the Villanova School of Business, Villanova University, Pennsylvania. Hill’s paper is entitled Challenging Our Views of Consumption: We Know Too Much About Those Who Have Too Much & Too Little About Those Who Have Too Little and will be the subject of a lecture in April (venue details to be announced).

The Pollay Prize, inaugurated in 2006 and named after UBC Sauder School of Business Prof. Emeritus Richard Pollay, honours intellectual excellence in research on marketing in the public interest. Pollay is an expert on tobacco industry advertising and a scholar who has investigated the history, regulation, values and social effects of advertising.
