Public talk and workshop on gender violence to promote safety awareness

Katz uses clips from his films, including Tough Guise: Violence, Media, and the Crisis in Masculinity and Spin the Bottle: Sex, Lies and Alcohol, to provide audiences with conceptual tools for reading media critically, especially those concerned with masculinity, heterosexuality and violence.

Date: Jan. 28
Time:     6 p.m.
Place:  Free admission, Neville Scarfe Building, 2125 Main Mall

Katz will also be holding a free workshop for students and the public on why gender violence is an issue for men.
