Announcement of endMS Transitional Career Development Award Recipients

Dr. Cornelia Laule from the UBC Dept. of Radiology is the recipient of the inaugural endMS Transitional Career Development Awards from the endMS Research and Training Network, a nationwide initiative of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada.  The awards provide successful post-doctoral and clinical fellows with $500,000 to fund the last two years of their MS-focused fellowship and the first three years of their first MS-focused faculty position in a Canadian institution.

Laule focuses her research on developing magnetic resonance techniques to study the pathology of multiple sclerosis.  In receiving this award, Laule said, “Thanks to the endMS initiative, I am able to continue my career as an MS researcher in Canada.  This award will enable me to foster interdisciplinary research, mentor trainees and encourage teamwork between basic scientists and clinicians to bring us closer to ending MS.”
