UBC experts for Copenhagen climate conference

The attention of the world is focused on Copenhagen, Denmark, as world leaders attempt to craft a successor to the Kyoto Protocol at the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

UBC experts are available to comment on issues including the effects on climate change on the Arctic, Canada’s environmental policy, the consequences of rising sea levels and the science behind climate change.

Six UBC students are in Copenhagen, representing the university and Canadian youth. Liz Ferris, a UBC Master’s student in the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, is maintaining a daily blog at: www.climateaction.ubc.ca. To request an interview with Ferris, please contact Sean Sullivan at UBC Public Affairs: sean.sullivan@ubc.ca
