A blast from UBC students’ past

UBC alumni and other enthusiasts can now tap into the univeristy’s student past, thanks to the digitization of a long-gone yearbooks.

About 11,500 pages of UBC’s student yearbooks dated 1916 to 1966 have been digitized by UBC Archives, in partnership with Alumni Affairs and the Alma Mater Society.

The yearbook was first published as the Annual (1915-1928) and then as the Totem (1929-1966).
Due to the rise of student population and production costs, the yearbook ceased publication after 1966.
