‘Tis the season for Library gifts

UBC Library has launched a Vault web site where users can access images and stories from the Library’s special collections. Items range from the meticulous – such as zoological giraffe drawings by an 18th-century naturalist – to the monumental, including pages from a German book of prayer created in 1500.

As of next week, gifts can be purchased on the site, including card sets, book bags and calendars that incorporate images from the Library’s special collections.

On Dec. 11 only, UBC Library will sell items on the main floor of the Student Union Building from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. A portion of gift proceeds is directed to one of the Library’s many funds and endowments.

The images can be found at www.ubcvault.ca.
