Canadian Cancer Society partners with UBC on a new home for Camp Goodtimes

The Canadian Cancer Society B.C. and Yukon Division and UBC’s
Faculty of Forestry will celebrate the beginning of their
new partnership for Camp Goodtimes.

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Honorary speakers: Dr. Martha Piper, President
of UBC and Barbara Kaminsky, CEO, Canadian Cancer Society,
B.C. & Yukon Division

Special guest: Victoria Fawkes, Camp
Goodtimes camper

Presentations on Loon Lake and Camp Goodtimes will be followed
by light refreshments and a cake-cutting ceremony.

The Canadian Cancer Society and UBC have joined together
to secure a long-term home for the Canadian Cancer Society’s
Camp Goodtimes — a special camp for kids living with cancer.
The new campsite is located at the beautiful Loon Lake Research
and Education Centre in UBC’s Malcolm Knapp Research
Forest near Maple Ridge.
