B.C. residents lead UBC’s graduating class

More than 5,000 academic degrees will be conferred on graduating
students at the University of British Columbia’s Spring Congregation
ceremonies, May 25-30. Among the 24 graduating class scholarship
and award winners, 22 are from B.C. More than a third of those 22
are from outside the Lower Mainland.

More than 160,000 people have graduated from UBC since it opened
its doors in 1915. At least 94,000 of these alumni continue to live
and work in B.C.
