the draft Academic Plan at a meeting to be held Sept. 21 at the Chan Centre
for the Performing Arts.
Two innovative new programs will revolutionize Arts education at UBC.

represent radical change in the Faculty of Arts.
UBC's new dean of Commerce and Business Administration, Daniel Muzyka, Nobel
Prize-winning physicist Sam Ting and Dr. Doris Kavanagh-Gray, former head of
Cardiology at St. Paul's Hospital are among the speakers participating in this
season's free public lecture series offered by the Vancouver Institute.
With the school year barely out of the gates, some employers are already champing
at the bit to recruit potential employees from UBC's student body.
