The Faculty Women's Club is composed of academic faculty and professional staff at UBC, its affiliated colleges, the library, Health Sciences Centre, and post-doctoral fellows from across campus. It brings together women connected to the university either through their work or that of the spouses, for social activities and lectures. The main purpose of the Faculty Women's Club is to raise funds for student scholarships. There are 18 different interest groups within the club, ranging from art appreciation and bridge to hiking. 5-12 year old children are needed to participate in UBC Psychology research to learn more about the ways children respond to questions about cartoons and stories. Please call Dr. Johnston's lab at 822-9037.
Do you find that you forget things more easily? Do you sometimes feel like your brain is in a haze? Researchers at UBC are investigating hormonal influences on cognitive processing in both pregnant women and women who have recently given birth. The study takes place at the UBC Department of Psychology and it consists of filling out several paper and pencil tests (approx. 50 min.).
