Doing something unusual after graduation? Or know someone who is? UBC News wants to hear about it

What’s next for UBC’s graduating class of 2014: Is someone starting their own business? Working abroad? Moving to a remote island to live off the grid? Becoming a superhero?

If this sounds like someone you know from the graduating class, UBC News wants to hear from you.

In 100 words or fewer, tell us about a student set to embark on an exciting adventure, job or project upon graduation. How are they going to use their degree? The more unique or unusual, the better. And by submitting a student story, you’ll be entered to win a package that could include:

  • Free rental of your graduation regalia
  • Two UBC sweatshirts

Thank you to UBC Ceremonies and the UBC Bookstore for their generous sponsorship!

A variety of the submissions will be selected to be featured on UBC News in May. Each chosen story will be complemented with a professional photo shoot and some may include a short video profile.

To nominate a graduate, fill out the form below. You can nominate yourself, too.

Note: The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10 PM PDT. See nomination rules below.
