Robot mimics parents’ heartbeat, skin for premature babies in hospital

Various media outlets reported that researchers from UBC have developed a therapeutic robot to help calm and reduce the pain of premature babies.

UBC occupational therapy associate professor Liisa Holsti explained that it will provide some aspects that mimic a parent holding their baby.
