Defence against next flu pandemic could lie in skin of a frog

Robert Hancock, a UBC professor of microbiology, commented on a study that found protein on a frog’s skin could be a weapon against the flu virus.

Hancock told The Wire that while it would be a challenge to package the protein so it isn’t damaged by enzymes in the host’s body, the peptides are still promising.
