Warming oceans may lead to smaller fish

Inside Science interviewed William Cheung, a UBC marine ecologist, about a study that found more active fish species react more to temperature, and reduce their body size more quickly.

In his own research, Cheung and colleagues estimate that under high-emissions scenarios, warming oceans will lead to a 14 to 24 per cent reduction in the average body mass per fish worldwide in the first half of the 21st century.
