Quebec’s social capital deficit stumped academics before Potter waded into debate

The National Post cited a 2009 study by Mélina Longpré, a UBC graduate student, about Quebec’s outlier status on many measures of social capital.

Longpré wrote that societies like Quebec “appear to have been imprinted by low levels of trust among its members.”
