Even with pedometers, students don’t make time to exercise

A study by Cristina Caperchione, a professor of health and exercise sciences at UBC’s Okanagan campus, and researcher Paul Sharp was featured in the Kelowna Daily Courier.

Sharp completed the study while earning his master’s degree and found that the physical and mental health of many first-year university students drops, even when they are given pedometers to encourage exercise.
