Andrew Trites, director of the Marine Mammal Research Unit at UBC, was quoted in the Vancouver Sun for an article about seal and sea lion populations in the Salish Sea.
Trites commented on a study that found the populations are growing exponentially and the animals are outcompeting orcas for salmon.
