Michael Byers, the Canada Research Chair in Global Politics and International Law at UBC, wrote an op-ed for the Globe and Mail about the Trudeau government’s decision to re-open the possibility of selling world-leading technology to a Chinese company.
Byers wrote that it is clear that the federal government is willing to move forward against the previous advice of its own security agencies.
