UBC president Santa Ono announced a new adviser on China and a new executive director for his office, the Vancouver Sun reported.
Weihong Song, a Canada Research Chair on Alzheimer’s disease and psychiatry professor, will be Ono’s senior adviser on China, and Julie Wagemakers, the former deputy director of UBC’s Liu Institute for Global Issues, will be the executive director.
