For hummingbirds, the world moves as fast as they do

A study on the brain of a hummingbird led by Andrea Gaede, a UBC zoology researcher, was featured on Smithsonian.

Gaede found that neurons appear to be “tuned” differently in the motion-detecting region of the hummingbird’s brain.
