Jens Monrad, a Danish culture and language lecturer at UBC, spoke to the Toronto Star about a Danish philosophy called hygge.
The aim of hygge is to create an atmosphere that encourages people to spend time together. Monrad said hygge is centred on creating a cosy and comfortable environment.
