Understanding why some parents are hesitant about vaccines

The Ottawa Citizen interviewed Devon Greyson, a post-doctoral fellow at UBC, about a study she co-authored that aims to better understand what causes changes in mothers’ attitudes about vaccinations.

“There is a lot of pressure on parents these days, especially new parents and especially mothers,” she said.

Greyson said her research refuted the general belief that parents who hesitate to vaccinate their kids are opposed to science.

The story also appeared in the Ottawa Sun and Edmonton Sun.
