Metro News interviewed Ayesha S. Chaudhry, a UBC professor of Islamic studies and gender studies, about the term “alt-right” in politics.
“It’s an appealing name and doesn’t actually indicate a central part of their ideology, which is white supremacy,” she said. “’White supremacist’ is the most honest description of (the alt-right ideology).”
