Quarter of Canadian kids aged 1-10 suffer sleep issues

Wendy Hall, a UBC professor in the school of nursing, spoke to Global about her sleep study which examines the implications of sleep problems in children.

“What we found was large associations between children who aren’t getting enough sleep, and difficulty with learning, difficulty with behavioural problems, so acting out during the day maybe being a little bit hyperactive, difficulty with focusing.”

The story also appeared on Yahoo and Yahoo Finance and a similar story appeared on Daily Hive.

Hall was also interviewed on Roundhouse Radio about the impacts of daylight saving time on our sleep.
