In the first game of his final Canada West season Mitch Goodwin established the new all-time points record for the UBCO Heat men’s basketball program, the Kelowna Capital News reported.
Goodwin racked up18 points to lead the Heat past the Trinity Western Spartans 87-71. He surpassed Matt Gowing’s career-best mark of 1,028 ending up with 1,037 points.
