Climate change could harm predator-prey relationships

CBC featured research by Rebecca Tyson, a professor of mathematics at UBC’s Okanagan campus, about how climate change may lead to the extinction of some species and impact predator-prey relationships.

“It looks as though just by increasing the length of the summer relative to the lengths of the winter, that a previously stable predator-prey relationship could become unstable — driving one species extinct,” Tyson said.
