Will Valley, a UBC professor in the faculty of land and food systems, was interviewed by CBC for a story on the large amounts of food waste created by Walmart stores in Metro Vancouver.
“It’s much easier, much more cost-efficient to not pay your workers to separate food — to change their habits of disposing — to a system that is more responsible,” he said.
