People can ward off memory decline by doing this one simple thing

Time Magazine featured UBC research that found a regular low impact work-out could be associated with slight improvement in memory for seniors who already have memory and thinking problems.

Teresa Liu-Ambrose, the director of UBC’s aging, mobility, and cognitive neuroscience laboratory and study author, weighed in on the impact of these findings.

“Studies have shown that exercise can help reduce the risk of developing memory problems, but few studies have looked at whether it can help people who already have these problems get better or keep from getting worse,” she said.
